The rover

It has been a long day. I have been working in Mr Jasper Kiergarten's armory getting the rover road worthy. The rover was originally an armored car that I acquired through some trading, and it appeared to be ideal for the plans I have been making. The safari is still in the planning stages, and the expedition to Egypt is coming along nicely. I am concerned that the time line might be moved up if the next telegram brings any news that is not wholly positive. I have assembled a team, at least by intent or word, and now comes the provisioning and route planning.

I only hope the mechanical issues are sorted out before the departure date. I took the rover out for a quick spin in the Palisades, and I am mildly pleased so far. There is room enough for the kit and the rest of the team, and I must get a solid test run before I trust the beast on a trip out into the wilderness.

I was tearing through my closet in a frantic effort to create a costume for a midnight show.... when a tank drove through my building, below my loft. I love living in the Palisades.
